    Eight Russian athletes will take part in the III Summer Youth Olympic Games, to be held from 6 to 18 October in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

    These are: Dmitry Kachanov (pole vault), Sergey Zverev (hammer throw), Olesya Soldatova (400 m), Irina Boldyreva (100-meter hurdles), Maria Kochanova (high jump), Victoria Gorlova (long jump), Maria Privalova (triple jump) and Violetta Ignatieva (discus).

    The European Athletics Association (EAA) has confirmed that the above athletes match the qualifying criteria for the 2018 Youth Games and are allowed by the IAAF to participate in the international competitions in neutral status. This was reported by the press service of the All-Russian Athletic Federation.
