Albert II Reigning Prince of Monaco visited the house of fans of the Russian national team
Today, February 8, Albert II Reigning Prince of Monaco, together with the President of the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC) Alexander Zhukov visited the house of fans of the Russian national team in Sochi Russia and inspected the halls where all winter sports included in the program of the winter Olympic games 2014.
The meeting was held in a friendly atmosphere. Walking through the halls and looking at the various exhibits, Prince Albert II, not without pleasure, took pictures of himself in front of our team leaders and tried his hand at shooting, feeling like a real biathlete, and at table hockey.
The house of fans of the Russian national team in Sochi began its work on February 6. Here, everyone can learn about the history of the national sports and about our team, and watch the live broadcast of the Olympic competitions or meet personally with their idols.
“We did not expect that there will be so many visitors. Originally we planned to accept up to 10 thousand visitors per day, but we have reached this figure in the middle of the first working day of the house. As you may have noticed there are gifts queues. That is good. People come, take pictures with our athletes, learn a lot of new things about sports and get all the necessary attributes for the fans – flags, firecrackers and more”, – said the President of the ROC Alexander Zhukov.
Prince Albert of Monaco has also fully appreciated the advantages of the house of fans of the Russian national team, all the more so, because his personal collection of Olympic torches, which he provided specially for this exhibition, is presented there.
