Today, a delegation of NOC Czech Republic led by Vice-President Roman Kumpost and Head of the International Relations Department Veronika Zhemanova held a working meeting with the Russian Olympic Committee.

The delegation met with ROC President Stanislav Pozdnyakov and discussed the development and modernization of key areas of cooperation between the NOCs of both countries.

″Today’s negotiations are a continuation of the work that began as part of the previously signed Memorandum of Cooperation between the Olympic Committees of Russia and the Czech Republic,″ said Stanislav Pozdnyakov. ″We have already discussed the practical steps to implement this document. First of all, together with NOC Czech Republic, we are interested in implementing educational programs based at the Russian International Olympic University (RIOU), as well as projects that are being successfully developed by the Czech side. We intend to hold a regular exchange of teachers and students. Our first steps are likely to be made in this direction. And, of course, there is interest in expanding cooperation in terms of the participation of athletes in joint competitions, as well as organizing and conducting training camps for athletes and specialists both in the Russian Federation and the Czech Republic″.
