Rector of the Russian International Olympic University (RIOU) Lev Belousov was elected as a full member of the Russian Academy of Education (RAO) and became an Academician of the Academy.
Being a respected and internationally renowned scientist, Lev Belousov is an Honoured Professor at Moscow University and a member of the Council of Foreign and Defense Policy of Russia. Since September 28, 2018, he has been the acting Dean of the Faculty of History at Moscow State University.
The academic career of Lev Belousov has brought him the Medal of the Order ″For Merit to the Fatherland″ 1 Class – for outstanding achievements in creating the Russian International Olympic University, as well as the Peter Lesgaft Medal for merits in sports science and education.
By the decree of the President of the Russian Federation, Lev Belousov was awarded the title “Honoured Worker of the Higher School of the Russian Federation”, and he also has honorary badges “For merits in the development of the Olympic movement in Russia.”
Under the leadership of Lev Belousov, the flagship program ″Master of Sports Administration″ was created at the Russian International Olympic University – one of the best in the market of sports business education. This is evidenced by the high assessment of experts and widespread international recognition: for the second year in a row, the MSA program comes second in the ranking of the influential British magazine Sport Business International among similar sports business programs in Europe and is among the top ten in the world.
