Yana Kudryavtseva and Margarita Mamun will represent the Russian national team in Rhythmic Gymnastics at the European Games in Baku

Multiple world champions Yana Kudryavtseva and Margarita Mamun will perform as part of the Russian team at the I European Games in Baku.

According to President of Russian Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation Irina Viner, both athletes have won this right to compete on the result of this season’s competitions. Before their trip to Baku Yana Kudryavtseva and Margarita Mamun will take part in the World Cup to be held in Tashkent from 20 to 25 May.

It is to be recalled that the 1st European Games will be held in Baku, 12-28 June. More than 6,000 athletes from 50 countries will compete in 20 sports, 16 of which are Olympic. Twelve of those sports offer qualification for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio. These are triathlon, shooting, table tennis, wrestling, archery, volleyball, boxing, athletics, judo, swimming, cycling  and taekwondo.
