Russian judoists were among the winners in eleven weight categories at the Grand Prix in Georgia

Russian judoists were among the winners in eleven weight categories out of 13 at the Grand Prix stage in Tbilisi (Georgia). The Russian team won two gold, two silver and nine bronze medals.

Both top awards were won by the representatives of the gentle sex. Natalia Kondratyeva won the gold medal in the -48 kg weight category by beating Marina Chernyak from Ukraine in the final. Irina Zabludina became the best in the -57 kg weight category, by beating Giovanna Rogich (Serbia).

Russian athletes won silver and bronze medals in the -70kg weight category. Yekaterina Denisinkova was defeated by Barbara Matic (Croatia) in the finals. Irina Gazieva was also defeated by her in the semifinals.

Our athletes won two bronze medals in the women’s +78 kg. Ksenia Chibisova was defeated by the future champion Gulsim Kokatyurk (Turkey), and Maria Shekerova — by Sandra Jablonski (Lithuania).

Pari Surakatova became third in the -63kg weight category, and Natalia Kuzyutina – in the -52kg weight category.

Anton Kribovok reached the final in the men’s +100kg weight category of the Grand Prix tournament, but he was defeated by Adam Okruashvili (Georgia).

Bronze awards went to Arsen Galstyan (60kg), Alim Gadanov (66kg), Musa Mogushkov (73 kg) and Kirill Denisov (90kg).
