Stanislav Pozdnyakov took part in the XIII International Congress of Winter Sports Industry, Tourism and Outdoor Activities

On May 31, 2017,  the XIII International Congress of Winter Sports Industry, Tourism and Outdoor Activities got underway at the Moscow Otkritie Arena stadium.   Stanislav Pozdnyakov, First Vice-President of the ROC, delivered a welcoming speech.

The opening ceremony was also attended by Mikhail Degtyarev, Chairman of the State Duma Committee for Physical Culture, Sport, Tourism and Youth Affairs and Alexei Stepanov, General Director of the International Sports Forum “Russia – Country of Sports”.

The XIII International Congress of Winter Sports Industry, Tourism and Outdoor Activities is held in Moscow from May 31 to June 2. The purpose of the event is to promote the dynamic development of  winter sports industry, tourism and outdoor activities in Russia, and  provide an integrated and systematic approach to solving key tasks of the industry.

Memorable medals  of the XXII Olympic Winter Games and XI Paralympic Winter Games of 2014 in Sochi were awarded within the framework of the Congress. Awards were given to companies that took active part in preparation and conduct of competitions.

Plenary session of the Congress ‘Actual issues, vectors of development of physical culture, sports and tourism in the Russian Federation’ was opened by State Secretary – Russia’s Deputy Sports Minister Natalya Parshikova. Among the speakers were the president of the Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation of Russia A. Zubkov, Director of the Department for the Development of Industry and Socially Significant Goods of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia D.Kolobov, Head of the Federal Agency for Tourism O. Safonov,  President of the Curling Federation of Russia D.Svishchev, Director of ANO HRC Dynamo, M.Tyurkin, General Director of the Hartwall Arena (Finland) Kimmo Kivisita.

First Vice-President of the ROC Stanislav Pozdnyakov in his speech noted the importance of holding the Congress and touched on such vital topics as gaps in the relevant education of our sports specialists, due to which it is necessary to use foreign trainers, restore RUSADA and the need to produce domestic goods as part of import substitution.
