    Today, in Doha, as part of the General Assembly of the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC), the ANOC 2019 Awards ceremony took place honouring the best athletes of the year. Russian athlete Dina Averina won in the nomination Best Female Athlete of European Games Minsk 2019. She received the award personally from EOC President Janez Kocijančič.

    During the 2nd European Games in Minsk held in June, Dina Averina won five medals – three gold medals (all-around, rhythmic gymnastics hoop and ribbon), one silver medal (clubs discipline) and one bronze medal (ball discipline).

    ROC President Stanislav Pozdnyakov took part in the ceremony as well, presenting the award for Best Male Athlete of European Games Minsk 2019 to Italian athlete Mauro Nespoli (archery).
