Rizik’s victory inspires the Olympic hopes in ski cross

Russian freestyler Sergey Ridzik for the first time in his career became the winner of the Ski Cross World Cup. Previously only once an athlete from the country managed to reach the same level f in this discipline – in March, 2016, the world Cup was won by Simon Denshikov.

25-year-old Rizik gave us a pleasant surprise in the competition on December 15 in the Austrian Montafon. Another Russian Egor Korotkov, finished fifth, same as at the Sochi Olympic Games.

Rizik missed those OG. Later in 2015, native of Monchegorsk twice became second at the world cups, but a year ago as a result of the horrible fall he suffered several fractures and was recovering for a long time.
