Participants and speakers at the forum included Stanislav Pozdnyakov, President of the Russian Olympic Committee; Veronica Loginova, General Director of RAA RUSADA, Andrey Fedorov, State Secretary – Deputy Minister of Sports of the Russian Federation; Pavel Rozhkov, President of the Russian Paralympic Committee; Mikhail Khorev, Special Envoy of the Russian Foreign Minister; and Lev Belousov, Rector of the Russian International Olympic University.
The main topics of discussion were modern trends and ways to develop clean sport, issues of cooperation between all-Russian sports federations and regions, doping prevention in youth sports, as well as the therapeutic use of substances banned in sports and the prospects of sports law in Russia.
Stanislav Pozdnyakov recalled that one of the most important events of the International Forum of Young Olympians in June was the approval by the Russian Olympic Committee of the educational plan on anti-doping agreed with RAA RUSADA. It includes activities for various target groups, including representatives of children’s and youth sports, all-Russian sports federations for Olympic sports, and regional sports federations.
– Educational activities, including anti-doping, are one of the priorities of the ROC Strategy 2028. This program document, which will soon be approved by the Executive Committee of ROC, will guide our activities for six years. In the current difficult time for Russian sport, it is very important to continue to work on various platforms to form a conscious rejection of any unfair methods of achieving results in the Russian sports community, – said the president of ROC.
Veronica Loginova pointed out the important role of educational organizations in the formation of the anti-doping movement and thanked the co-organizers of the forum opposite MGIMO, the guests of honor at the event and all those involved in anti-doping education.
– We are very happy to have so many guests on our forum. This shows an attitude toward emerging problems and a willingness to deal with them coherently. Our goal is the same: to give athletes the right to a fair and clean sport,” said the head of RUSADA.
Andrey Fedorov spoke about the work on the creation of detailed methodological recommendations to improve the mechanisms of anti-doping policy, which will be used by all organizations involved in sport.
Pavel Rozhkov thanked the organizers of the All-Russian Forum on Clean Sport for the invitation and reported on the results of RPC anti-doping activities in the regions.
– I am sure that the forum will become a permanent platform to discuss the most urgent problems in the field of anti-doping and to develop ways to solve them. In the five years of our collaboration with RUSADA, more than 3,000 paralympians and coaches have been trained in various anti-doping programs. The RPC does a lot of work not only at the national team level, but also in the regions. We believe that zero tolerance towards doping should be practiced already in childhood and adolescence.
On December 2, as part of the All-Russian Forum on Clean Sport, several round tables were held to discuss the current issues of anti-doping in sports.
