The Russian Olympic Committee now has an Official ticket agent – the Swiss company MATCH Hospitality AG. Under the terms of the agreement with ROC, it now has the exclusive rights to sell tickets and travel packages in Russia for the Games of the XXXII Olympiad 2020 in Tokyo (Japan) and the XXIV Olympic Winter Games 2022 in Beijing (China).

Today’s press conference at the ROC Innovation Center was dedicated to the new partner, where ROC President Stanislav Pozdnyakov and Director of MATCH Hospitality AG Jaime Byrom Aparicio answered journalists’ questions.

    Stanislav Pozdnyakov:

    – 500 days before the Olympic Games in Tokyo, we are pleased to announce the signing of an agreement with the company MATCH Hospitality AG, designed to provide Russian fans with tickets and travel packages to the Games in Tokyo and Beijing. It must be emphasized that only this company has the right to distribute tickets in Russia to the competitions and events of the Olympic Games in 2020 and 2022.

MATCH Hospitality AG was the official ticket operator of the 2018 World Cup held in Russia which was recognized by the world sports community as the best in history. The company has coped well with its responsibilities and has established itself as a reliable partner.

ROC is well aware of the importance of fans supporting athletes. We hope that as the Olympic competitions approach, the interest in them from our compatriots will increase. For our part, together with MATCH Hospitality AG, we will try to make trips to Tokyo 2020 and Beijing 2022 for all Russian sports fans as comfortable as possible in order to bring only positive emotions.

    Jaime Byrom Aparicio:

    – I would like to express our gratitude to the Russian Olympic Committee for accepting us to the Olympic family. This is a historic event for our company, and I am now overwhelmed with a sense of pride. We know the Russian market very well and the desire of fans to get only the best when it comes to tickets, travel and accommodation during the Olympics. That is why the main task of MATCH Hospitality AG is to give Russian sports fans the opportunity to witness the victories of their Olympic athletes in the arenas of Tokyo and Beijing.

The representative of the Swiss company, Anna Bagrova, talked in detail about when and how the fans will be able to purchase tickets for the Olympic competitions.

According to her, ticket sales will start in September 2019. Ticket prices will be set by Tokyo’s Organizing Committee. Despite the fairly large quotas allocated for Russians, it is still not worthwhile to postpone the purchase to the last day as the number of tickets will be limited.

It is expected that our fans will be most interested in competitions in gymnastics, wrestling, judo, swimming, as well as the solemn opening and closing ceremonies of the Games. At these official events, prices will be the highest as usual.

For more detailed information about the cost of tickets and travel packages for the Olympic Games in Tokyo, you need to register on the MATCH Hospitality AG website (https://www.match-hospitality.ru/tokyo2020/ru/registration/) and indicate the sports you are interested in. This information will be taken into account by the company during the distribution of tickets.
