40 years ago, on July 19, 1980, the Games of the XXII Olympiad kicked off in Moscow. They remain one of the most significant sporting events in the history of our country and over time many memories, amazing facts and unique stories have been connected with this landmark event. For 2 weeks, the Russian Olympic Committee will talk about the 1980 Moscow Olympics on social media creating an atmosphere of holding the Games. Join us!
From July 19 to August 3, the ROC social media accounts will offer a variety of exclusive photos, videos and live broadcasts that will take us back to the summer of 1980. Participants and spectators of those Games will share their memories and there will be numerous interactive components, factual information and visual simulations. There is a lot to remember and celebrate and much to be proud of!
