Vanessa Mae is dissatisfied with a four-year disqualification

Famous violinist is appealing a four-year ban imposed for fixing giant slalom races. In this regard, Vanessa May has appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne, – the ATR news reports.

It should be reminded that in Sochi Vanessa Mae raced for Thailand as Vanessa Vanakorn, using the last name of her Thai father. She finished last of 67 competitors in the two-run giant slalom.

Later the FIS said the quality of four qualifying races was falsely inflated to artificially boost Vanessa Mae’s standing as a potential Olympian, which led to the disqualification of  Mae-Vanakorn and four officials who helped organize this fraud.
