Vladimir Nelyubin was elected as President of the Handball Federation of Russia

On March15 inthe building of the Russian Olympic Committee report-and-election conference of the Handball Union of Russia was held. Andrey Selivanov, Deputy Executive Director of the Russian Olympic Committee attended the conference and gave a welcome speech.

In the framework of the HUR Conference elections of the President of the Handball Federation of Russia took place. Boris Alyoshin, current Head of the Federation, and Vladimir Nelyubin , delegated by the PermTerritorywere nominated for this position.

According to the results of the first round of elections both candidates won 31 votes. After that a repeat voting was held. Nelyubin won 32 votes, Alyoshin – 28. Thus, Vladimir Nelyubin became the new President of the Handball Federation of Russia.

Also the elections of the Vice-presidents, Secretary General and members of Executive Committee were held. The Head of the ROC Department of regional cooperation Igor Stepanov was elected to the Executive Committee of the Handball Federation of Russia.
