Top athletes and coaches of the Stavropol Territory gave an Olympic lesson
About 400 pupils from sports and regular schools of Stavropol, as well as from the Stavropol College of Olympic Reserve took part in the Olympic lesson, held on the football field.
A tradition of holding the Olympic lessons in the Stavropol Territory was established on June 29 on the Russian Olympic day. On September 3, the next stage followed. On the pitch of the Stavropol College of Olympic Reserve a sports holiday, promoting the Olympic movement and its ideals was held. It was held with the assistance of the Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee, under the aegis of the regional Olympic Council.
The winners and the participants of the Olympic games, leading athletes and coaches of the StavropolTerritory: Igor Lavrov, Lyudmila Rogachev, Olga Chernyavskaya, Anna Bulgakova, Ruslan Kishmakhov, Yuri Voronin, Vasily Skakun, Alexei Tatarintsev and Natalia Kadatova took part in the Olympic lesson .
The lesson consisted of several parts. In the educational part the Honored coach of Russia Alexei Tatarintsev spoke about the history of the Olympic games, the Olympic ideals and values. The sports part was held by V.Skakun, the honored coach of the USSR, and his pupil, N. Kadatova, the all-around world champion in tumbling. They demonstrated a Champions warm-up. In the entertainment part the high school students answered the “Champions questions” of the Olympic quiz.
In the end of the Olympic lesson the participants made commemorative pictures with the Champions and visited the Museum of sports of the Stavropol Territory.
