The ROC Athletes’ Commission meets with representatives of the All-Russian Sports Federations

The first ever meeting of the ROC Athletes’ Commission with the representatives of the All-Russian Sports Federations took place today at the ROC Headquarters in Moscow. During the meeting, athletes received a great deal of useful information and had the chance to ask their own questions.

8th TAFISA World Games to be held in Nizhny Novgorod!

Nizhny Novgorod was announced as the host city for the 8th TAFISA World Games during the TAFISA General Assembly held in Tokyo on November 13-17. The amateur sports festival will be held in 2024 and for the first time ever the ROC will organize this large-scale sports event.

Around the world with the flag of the Russian Olympic Committee

4 November

The flag of the Russian Olympic Committee has set out on a round-the-world trip from Vladivostok on the training ship Pallada. The ship will cover a route of more than 27 thousand nautical miles and will visit nine ports in different foreign countries: Apia, Papeete, Valparaiso, Ushuaia, Cape Town, Port Louis, Singapore, Moiré and Nagasaki.

The President of the Russian Olympic Committee took part in All-Russian Walking Day in the capital of the Udmurt Republic and, together with the residents of Izhevsk and guests of the capital city, covered a distance of 2020 meters dedicated to Russian athletes set to participate in the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo next year.

The visit of the TAFISA delegation led by the President of the organization Ju-Ho Chang and the Secretary General Wolfgang Baumann to Russia turned out to be quite eventful. First, the guests visited Nizhny Novgorod, which is bidding to host the 8th TAFISA World Sport for All Games in 2024. If Nizhny Novgorod is chosen to host the Games, the ROC may become the first ever National Olympic Committee to organize these competitions at the amateur level.

On September 13, a delegation of the Beijing 2022 Organizing Committee visited the Russian Olympic Committee. During the meeting, both sides discussed preparations for the 2022 Winter Olympics and cooperation in various areas.

The Roscongress Foundation and the Russian Olympic Committee agree upon supporting the Olympic movement

The Roscongress Foundation and the ROC have signed a Cooperation Agreement at the 5th Eastern Economic Forum. Both parties have agreed to assist each other in fulfilling statutory tasks, including cooperation in preparing for the Eastern Economic Forum, the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the Russian Investment Forum and other congress events organized by the Roscongress Foundation.
