- The first day of the Research and Practice Seminar based on the experimental results of the special projects, held at the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC), has come to an end. The programs, launched three years ago, were presented to the public. According to Aleksandr Grushin, the Head of the ROC Department for methodological support of the sports training and the curator of the Seminar, they must contribute to the performance of our athletes at the Olympic Games in Sochi.

On Thursday, October 24, a Research and Practice Seminar based on the experimental results of the ROC special projects was started at the ROC. Vladimir Sengleev, the Executive Director of the ROC gave an opening speech. The Seminar will last for two days. During these days six projects of the Russian Olympic Committee will be presented.

In 1952, at the Helsinki Olympic Games Nina Ponomaryova became an Olympic Champion, setting a New Olympic Record and earning the first Olympic gold medal in the history of the USSR.
Russian Olympic Committee and Aeroflot sign deal for delivery of Russian Olympic delegation to Sochi9 October 2013
On Wednesday, October 9, President of the Russian Olympic Committee Aleksander Zhukov and OJSC Aeroflot – Russian Airlines Director General Vitaly Savelyev signed an agreement for the delivery of the Russian official delegation to the XXII Winter Olympics. Under this agreement over 800 athletes, members of the official delegation and luggage will be brought to the Olympic Capital using Aeroflot flights.

It was held under the chairmanship of Svetlana Zhurova, State Duma Deputy and Olympic Champion. The high performance sport ethics specialists from the coaching councils of the all-Russian sports federations completed questionnaires. The results of these questionnaires were presented to the members of the Commission.
