The table tennis personal-command championship of Russia has started in Moscow. From February 26 to March 3, athletes from 28 regions of the Russian Federation will determine the best players in individual and team ranks. The XIV European Youth Olympic Winter Festival has ended in Sarajevo. Russian athletes won 12 medals – two gold, seven silver and three bronze ones. On February 15, a ceremony honouring the winners was held at the HILLS hotel which became an Olympic Village over the course of the festival.

Russian Paralympic Committee’s rights conditionally reinstated

The International Paralympic Committee announced today the reinstatement of the RPC’s membership in this organisation — for the time being conditionally, until 15 March 2019, when this decision will officially take effect. Also, the Russian Paralympic Committee was presented with a number of requirements that must be strictly followed up to December 2022 to preserve its status as an IPC member.

The Novogorsk Training Centre hosted today a ceremony of seeing off the Russian Olympic team for the 14th European Youth Olympic Winter Festival in Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina). Before the departure, the young athletes were addressed by ROC President Stanislav Pozdnyakov; ROC Secretary General, five-time synchronised swimming Olympic champion Anastasia Davydova; and RUSADA Director General Yury Ganus.
