  • Dear friends, I want to wish you all a Happy New Year and Merry Christmas!

As we reflect on 2025, it has truly been a pivotal year for Russian sports. We have initiated significant reforms in the management of our sports industry and federations. We have also strengthened our support for children’s and youth sports. Following President of Russia Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin’s directives, we are committed to reintegrating our athletes into the international sports arena.

The discussions with the IOC and International Federations are yielding positive results. Russian athletes now have greater access to competitions, and we can hear our national anthem played and see the Russian flag raised at these events. This year, we have significantly increased our athletes’ participation in World and European Championships, leading to a remarkable increase – one and a half times – in the number of medals earned across Olympic sports.

Our primary goal for the upcoming year is to fully restore the full-fledged status of the Russian Olympic Committee. We aim to unite as a single National Team representing Russia at the Youth Olympic Games in Dakar, Senegal, and make significant strides towards the LA 2028 Summer Olympics.

I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to all the athletes, coaches, doctors, and mentors dedicated to advancing sports in Russia. While there is much work ahead, we have everything we need to reach our goals: a strong team, knowledge, experience, confidence in our abilities, and a rich history of Russia and the Soviet Union.

Wishing everyone a new year filled with faith, hope, and love. It is our shared love for Russia and sports that unites us all. Happy New Year and Merry Christmas!
