  • On 17 April, as part of high-level talks in the Kremlin between the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, and the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Olympic Committees of Russia and Tajikistan.

    The document was signed by ROC President Stanislav Pozdnyakov and the Vice-President of NOC Tajikistan Abdullozod Akhtam Rustam in the presence of both heads of state.

    The agreement will contribute to the development of partnerships between both NOCs in areas such as training athletes, advanced training for coaches and other specialists, conducting joint sports projects, organising and conducting match meetings between Russian and Tajik athletes on the territory of both countries, as well as the participation of officials in various congresses, conferences, seminars and courses, and the implementation of joint commercial projects, including those in the media sphere with the involvement of sponsors and partners of ROC and NOC Tajikistan.

    – Today we signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the National Olympic Committee of Tajikistan. For ROC, this is a very important document regulating mutual relations with our partners from other countries. In particular, it will allow to establish cooperation in the field of sports medicine using innovative methods and methods for preventing injuries, effective treatment of injuries and other forms of protecting the health of athletes. In addition, we agreed to make every effort to combat doping in order to eradicate it from sports in order to ensure equal and fair conditions of sports rivalry and to protect “clean” athletes, – said Stanislav Pozdnyakov.
