I am glad to welcome all the participants of the most popular summer sports holiday, which this year is being held for the 29th time.
The country’s achievements in high-performance sports largely depend on the development of mass and children’s sports. All our Olympic champions started their way to medals from physical training lessons at school and participation in similar holidays.
This year III Summer Youth Olympic Games will take place in Buenos Aires. For our young Olympians, these competitions will be another step on the way to the main goal.
I am sure that among the participants of the XXIX All-Russian Olympic Day there are those who have already decided to connect their lives with sport of higher achievements.
But the main task of the Olympic Movement all over the world is to form physically and spiritually healthy society. So that new generations would grow in an atmosphere of love and respect for their homeland, and such qualities as power, dignity and courage, the desire to achieve goals were laid in a man from an early age. This is the essence of Olympism and its basic values. And the most important goal of the All-Russian Olympic Day is to promote them , through exciting, diverse competitions.

The program of the All-Russian Olympic Day is traditionally diverse. It is not only useful to practice sports and lead a healthy lifestyle, but also exciting and prestigious. You can see it from your own experience.
