  • The President of the Russian Olympic Committee sent a congratulatory message to all veterans of the Great Patriotic War and all Russians on the 75th anniversary of victory over fascism!

    Dear friends!

Every year on May 9 we celebrate the most important holiday of our entire multinational country – Victory Day! 75 years have passed since fascism was destroyed on the frontlines of the war and people on all continents got the opportunity to rebuild their lives in peaceful conditions.

Today we honor our war heroes and pay tribute to their immortal feat. For me, my family and, I am sure, for all our compatriots, one of the most important factors in the further progress and development of Russian society is the memory of Victory in the Great Patriotic War which we pass on from generation to generation.

To all veterans of the Great Patriotic War whose fate is inextricably linked with defending the sovereignty of the Motherland I want to sincerely wish good health, high spirits and happiness. We are proud of you and we thank you for the fact that our children are living and growing up in a free country.

    Happy holiday!
