  • Today, on March 31, Vladimir Sengleev, Director General of the Russian Olympic Committee, celebrates his 48th birthday.

    From 1998 to 2010 Vladimir Sengleev held senior positions in the executive branch of the Republic of Kalmykia: Minister of Economy of the Republic of Kalmykia, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kalmykia and the Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Kalmykia.

    In July 2010, Vladimir Sengleev moved to Moscow, having accepted the offer to take up the post of  the Head of the Directorate for Innovation, Health and Research Programs in the Russian Olympic Committee. Two years later he became the Executive Director of the ROC and in May 2014 the ROC Olympic Assembly approved his candidacy for CEO.

    Vladimir Sengleev was awarded the Order of Honour, Sochi XXII Olympic Winter Games and XI Paralympic Winter Games Commemorative Medal and the Diploma of the Ministry of Sports of Russia for his merits in the development of the Russian Olympic movement.
