  • Today, on 30 May, Head of the IOC sent a letter to Stanislav Pozdnyakov, who was elected as President of the ROC.

    In his message, Thomas Bach stressed that the vote shows the confidence that the members of the Russian Olympic movement have in the new head of the ROC. According to the President of the IOC, this is a necessary guarantee for Stanislav Pozdnyakov’s further success in his new position.

    For his part, on behalf of The international Olympic Committee, Thomas Bach expressed his readiness to continue active cooperation with the ROC in all areas and to provide the necessary support to the new leadership of the NOC in joint work for the development of the Olympic movement.
