  • Dear friends!

I want to extend my heartfelt congratulations on Athlete’s Day—a cherished tradition since 1939 that celebrates health and an active lifestyle! Today, we come together as millions of citizens who firmly believe that “a healthy mind resides in a healthy body.”

Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, the President of Russia, has emphasized the significance of dedicating time to sports through his own example. Engaging in sports plays a crucial role in societal development.

This year, on Athlete’s Day, there will be a nationwide celebration with millions of citizens participating in festivals, marathons, and parades across the country.

As part of the nationwide initiative “Recreational Sport for Every Family,” supported by the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation, we will be organizing fitness marathons, mass fitness assessments, and consultations on healthy lifestyles at various open venues, including parks and stadiums.

As part of the traditional celebration, we will host the Russian Mass Competitions known as “the Orange Ball.” In 2025, this tournament is set to bring together 49 regions and to attract tens of thousands of players from all over the country.

Additionally, we will focus on adhering to the test standards of the “Fit for Labor and Defense” (GTO) complex, which has once again become a vital component of a healthy lifestyle.

I wish all sports fans faith, hope, and love, as it is our passion for Russia and sports that unites us all!
