5th Energy of Victories nationwide festival-contest among sports journalists launched
PJSC “Gazprom”, the Russian Olympic Committee and the Federation of Sports Journalists of Russia (FSJR) announce the beginning of the 5th Energy of Victories nationwide festival-contest among sports journalists – Russian and foreign media representatives.
The aim of the festival-contest is to improve the quality of sports journalism in Russia and promote the Olympic movement, sport, a healthy lifestyle.
Submitted to the competition will be the works broadcasted or published in print or electronic media from January 1 to October 1, 2015. The works will be judged in the following nominations (separately for Russian federal mass media, Russian regional media, foreign Russian-language media):
- Best TV Report/Film/Story nomination (for TV channels);
- Best Radio Report nomination (for radio stations);
- Best Publication nomination (for print and online publications);
- Best Photo Essay/Photo Illustration nomination (for print and online publications);
Applications for participation and submission of competition works will take place from September 1 to November 1 (until 22.00 GMT), 2015 by mail: 119991, Moscow, Luzhnetskaya naberezhnaya, 8, Russian Olympic Committee, office No. 334 (ROC Information Service) or by email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Final of the 5th Energy of Victories festival-contest will be held on November 26-27 in Moscow.
The nationwide Energy of Victories festival-contest among sports journalists was organized by Gazprom for the first time in 2011 within the Gazprom 2014 project. Over 1,000 journalists from all Russian regions and 10 CIS and non-CIS countries have participated in the contest since its start.
The Russian Olympic Committee (ROC) acted as the organizer of the 5th Energy of Victories festival-contest.
Close relationship between Gazprom and ROC started in 2001 with the signing of a long-term cooperation program. Gazprom provided financial support to ROC to help training Russian athletes for the Olympic Games: in Salt Lake City (2002); in Athens (2004); in London (2012); in Sochi (2014). Gazprom constructed unparalleled production facilities and sports venues within the preparations for the Winter Olympics in Sochi.
On October 23, 2014 Gazprom and ROC signed a Memorandum of Cooperation. Gazprom was named the general sponsor of the Russian Olympic team.
