Today at the Russian Olympic Committee Vladimir Sengleev, Director General of the ROC, met with the delegation from Turkmenistan, headed by the Minister of Sport Dayanch Gulgeldiev and Secretary General of the NOC Azad Muradov.
The meeting was attended by the Director General of the Russian Cycling Federation Yuri Kucheriavy, Deputy Secretary-General of the ROC, Head of the Organizational Department Yury Yuryev, Head of the Main Directorate for Ensuring the Participation in the Olympic Sporting Events of the ROC Andrey Konokotin and Deputy Head of the ROC International Relations Department Alexei Slautin.
During the talks, the parties stressed their mutual interest in deepening cooperation in a number of aspects, such organizational, sports, scientific, methodological and anti-doping, and discussed topical issues of the Olympic movement in the former CIS countries.
Vladimir Sengleev told his Turkmen colleagues about the main programs and international projects of the ROC in the field of strengthening ties with the foreign national Olympic committees and the program of Assistance in training candidates for the Russian Olympic team and ensuring the participation of the Russian Olympic delegation in the Games of the XXXII Olympiad 2020 in Tokyo.
Dayanch Gulgeldiev and Azad Muradov, in turn, told about sports development in Turkmenistan and about Cycling in particular, and expressed great interest in implementing joint projects with the ROC.
The participants of the meeting agreed to continue the dialogue within the framework of the annual Forum of the National Olympic Committees of the CIS, Georgia and Baltic countries, which will be held on 8-9 June in Riga.
