Alexander Zhukov was appointed Chair of the IOC Coordination Commission for the 2022Olympic Winter Games

President of the Russian Olympic Committee, IOC member Alexander Zhukov was appointed Chairman of the IOC Coordination Commission for the Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022. The official letter, signed by the President of the International Olympic Committee Thomas Bach was sent to the ROC.

The Coordination Commission consists of 15 members, including Kontinental Hockey League President, CEO of the Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee Dmitry Chernyshenko, President of the World Curling Federation Kate Caithness,  International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation President Ivo Ferriani, International Ski Federation President Gianfranco Kasper, Rugby Europe President Octavian Morariu, International Boxing Association President Ching-Kuo Wu, Korea Skating Union President Kim Jae-yeol, President   of the Finnish National Olympic Committee Risto Nieminen, the International Biathlon Union Secretary General Nicole Resch, IOC members Juan Antonio Samaranch Jr. and Timothy Tsun Ting Fok, 1998 Olympic champion in Ice Hockey Angela Ruggiero, 1994 Olympic champion in Cross-Country Skiing Vladimir Smirnov, International Paralympic Committee representative Rita van Driel, as well as legal expert Jose Luis Marco.
