Elena Zamolodchikova held a Gymnastics Tournament on her birthday
Double Olympic champion in Rhythmic Gymnastics and an Olympic Patrol ambassador Elena Zamolodchikova gave herself an original birthday present. She organized an Outdoor Gymnastics Tournament in Moscow on Friday, September 19.
Boys and girls born between 1996-2004 took part in the competitions which were held at Elena Zamolodchikova Health and Recreation Complex. The students of the School of Olympic Reserve No.1 became the winners, the second place went to the team of the Olympia department of the Sambo 70 Sports and Education Center.
By the way, the prize winner of the European Gymnastics Championships Daria Spiridonova and the Olympic medalist Maria Paseka, who are now part of the Russian National Team in Gymnastics are former students of the Olympia department. This year another Olympia student, a 15-year-old gymnast Seda Tutkhalyan has won three gold medals at the Youth Spartakiade and two gold and one bronze medals at the II Summer Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing (China).
The winners received medals and valuable prizes prepared by the Russian Olympic Committee from the hands of Elena Zamolodchikova.
But still the main hero of the tournament was the birthday girl herself. Five-time Olympic champion in Synchronized Swimming, four-time Olympic gold medalist in Gymnastics and Olympic Patrol ambassador Alexei Nemov, Olympic silver medalist in Rhythmic Gymnastics Irina Chaschina, double Olympic Fencing champion Tatyana Logunova, Olympic silver medalist in Swimming Evgeniy Korotyshkin and many others came to congratulate Elena Zamolodchikova.
Elena Zamolodchikova is planning to make this tournament a tradition and to make it worth becoming a part of the Russian Gymnastics Federation work schedule.
