    On January 31, in Moscow a meeting of the ROC Executive Committee was held, which approved the composition of the delegation of Olympic athletes from Russia, officials and attendants to go to the XXIII Olympic Winter Games  2018.

    A number of organizational and technical issues related to the upcoming Games, Russian athletes’ stay and performance in Pyeongchang.

    Other items on the agenda included the report of the Chairman of the Russian Fair Play Committee, Vice-President of the International Sports Press Association (AIPS) Nikolay Dolgopolov on presenting the Fair Play awards at the end of 2017 to Russian athletes, coaches and representatives of sports organizations. The Executive Committee approved the submitted list of 27 prize winners who were awarded with diplomas of the ROC and the Russian Fair Play Committee.

    Members of the Executive Committee headed by Alexander Zhukov congratulated famous Soviet Water Polo player, two-time Olympic medalist 1964 and 1968 Boris Grishin, on his 80th anniversary.

    Also the Executive Committee confirmed the decision to bestow the Badge of Honor of the ROC For merit to the development of the Olympic movement:

    Kamran Nasrulla ogly Babaeva – General Director of the Kostroma  sports development Fund for input to the development and promotion of physical culture, sports and the Olympic movement in the Kostroma region;

    Ilya Bakhrakh – Professor of the sports medicine and adaptive physical culture Department for great work in the training of highly qualified specialists in the field of sports and promotion of the Olympic movement in the Smolensk region;

    Vasily Vlasenko –  veteran of sports, participant of the Melbourne 1956 Olympic Games  for the great work on the development and promotion of physical culture, sports, and the Olympic movement in the Volgograd region and in connection with the 90th anniversary;

    Valeria Kozlovtseva – Director of the wrestling regional center of sports preparation, member of the Olympic Academy of the South for the great work in the development and promotion of physical culture, sport and promotion of the Olympic movement in Krasnodar Krai and in connection with the 60 anniversary;

    Oleg Lisachenko – teacher of Sterlitamak College of physical culture, management and service, for the great work in the training of highly qualified specialists in the field of sports and promotion of the Olympic movement in the Republic of Bashkortostan;

    Olga Lavushkina — chief specialist of the Kostroma sports school of Olympic reserve n.a.  A.V. Golubev for the great work on the development and popularization of physical culture, sports and promotion of the Olympic movement in the Kostroma region;

    Yury  Manannikov – head of the Voronezh center for physical culture and sports development for great work in the development and promotion of physical culture, sports and the Olympic movement in the Voronezh region;

    Konstantin Mandzhiyev – Vice-President of the Olympic Council of the Republic of Kalmykia for the great work in the development and promotion of physical culture, sports and the Olympic movement in Kalmykia;

    Oleg Medvedev – Head of Department of physical culture and sport of administration of the city of Vladimir for great work on development and promotion of physical culture, sport and promotion of the Olympic movement in the Vladimir region;

    Stanislav Popov – President of the Russian dance Union for great work on the development and promotion of dance sports and the Olympic movement in the Russian Federation and in connection with his 70th anniversary;

    Yulia Savelyeva – Director of the center of sports preparation of national teams of the Voronezh region for great work in the development and promotion of physical culture, sport and the Olympic movement in the Voronezh region;

    Igor Khomenko – President of the Wrestling Federation of the Krasnodar Krai, member of Council of the Olympic Academy of the South, for great work on the preparation of athletes of the international class, promotion of wrestling, promotion of the Olympic movement in the Krasnodar Krai and in connection with his 60 anniversary.

    The ROC and the Belarus NOC continue strengthening their cooperation

    Michael Degtyarev, Minister of Sport of the Russian Federation, President of the ROC paid a working visit to the Republic of Belarus, where he met with Viktor Lukashenko, President of the Belarus NOC, and took part in the opening ceremony of the Biathlon 2025 Cup of the Strongest Athletes in Raubichi.
