  • Igor Levitin, Aide to the President of the Russian Federation, was elected Vice President of the Russian Olympic Committee by the decision of the delegates of the Olympic Assembly. Previously this post was held by Stanislav Pozdnyakov, who has been elected President of the ROC today. Igor Levitin has also joined the reshaped Executive Committee of the Russian Olympic Committee.

    Also during the Olympic meeting the Executive Committee members elected Director General, Secretary General, Vice Presidents, the Executive Board of the ROC and the Audit Commission of the ROC.

    Vladimir Sengleyev was reelected as ROC’s Director General, Anastasia Davydova was reelected as ROC’s Secretary General.

    President of the Russian Federation of Modern Pentathlon Vyacheslav Aminov, President of the Association of Winter Olympic Sports Vladimir Kozhin, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Continental Ice Hockey League Gennady Timchenko and President of the Artistic Gymnastics Federation of Russia Vasily Titov were elected Vice Presidents.

    The Executive Board of the ROC includes 25 people:

    The Athletes’ Commissions of the Russian Olympic Committee and the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Belarus held a joint meeting in the town of Pastavy, located in the Vitebsk region, as part of the XXI sports and cultural festival Vytoki.

    Michael Degtyarev: «The competitions in Vyborg and the International Forum of Young Olympians promise to be a true celebration of sports and friendship»

    On June 3rd, Vyborg hosted the opening of the IX World Games of Young Compatriots and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states. The large-scale competitions will feature around 450 athletes aged 14-18 from 35 countries.
