  • The International Olympic Committee has updated the composition of its commissions. In addition to Stanislav Pozdnyakov, who was approved for a new term as a member of the Olympic Programme Commission, the powers of other ROC representatives were also extended.

    Thus, the Secretary General of the ROC Anastasia Davydova will continue to work in the Olympic Education Commission, and the powers of the Deputy Director General of the ROC, Head of the ROC President’s Office Rodion Plitukhin in the Sport and Active Society Commission were also extended.

    In total, nine Russians are currently represented in IOC commissions, including Minister of Sport Oleg Matytsin (Olympic Education Commission), President of the International Shooting Sports Federation (ISSF) Vladimir Lisin (Marketing Commission), President of the Russian Tennis Federation, member of the ROC Executive Board Shamil Tarpishchev (Athletes’ Entourage Commission), President of the International Fencing Federation (FIE) Alisher Usmanov (Olympic Channel Commission), Olympic champion in pole vault, member of the ROC Executive Board Elena Isinbaeva (Athletes’ Commission, Athletes’ Entourage Commission) and Olga Ponomar-Becker (IOC Young Leaders program).
