On September 3, Alexander Zhukov, the President of the Russian Olympic Committee will give Olympic lesson in the school of Moscow State Teachers’ Training University. General Secretary of the Russian Paralympic Committee Mikhail Terentiev, London 2012 Olympic champion in rhythmic gymnastics Aliya Mustafina, and Turin-2006 silver medalist in luge Albert Demchenko will become Olympic teachers together with the head of the ROC.
A group of biathletes under the leadership of Vladimir Korolkevich started a training camp in the Slovenian town of Rogla. It bears reminding, that Korolkevich group includes Olga Vilukhina, Irina Starikh, Valentina Nazarova, Ekaterina Yurieva, Marina Korovina, Olga Podchufarova and Anastasia Zagoruiko.
Andrey Selivanov, Deputy Executive Director of the ROC together with the representatives of the Olympic Council of Sverdlovsk Region took part in the session of the Organizing Committee on preparation and staging of the Summer Ski Jumping Grand Prix. This Grand Prix will be held in Nizhny Tagil on the mountain Dolgaya from 13 to 15 September.
On March15 inthe building of the Russian Olympic Committee report-and-election conference of the Handball Union of Russia was held. Andrey Selivanov, Deputy Executive Director of the Russian Olympic Committee attended the conference and gave a welcome speech.
At the report-and-election Conference of the Russia Yachting Federation (RYF), which was held last weekend in Moscow, the new President of the Federation was elected. Georgi Shaiduko gave place to Vladimir Silkin. Shaiduko became the First Vice-President of the Russia Yachting Federation.
At the report-and-election Conference Stanislav Shevchenko, the President of the Russian Volleyball Federation was unanimously re-elected to another four-year term. He was the only entrant.
4 December in the training center of the Novogorsk (Moscow region) a report-and-election Conference of the Russian Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation (RRGF) was held.
On March 29 at the initiative of the Russian Olympic Committee a meeting “On the issues of promoting the sports not included in the program of the Olympic Games and Winter Olympic Games to the International Olympic Movement” was held.
In the Olympic training center «Planernaya» a Report-and-election Conference of the Federation of Sports Journalists of Russia (FSJR) was held. The representatives of about forty regions of our country gathered in Moscow. Alexander Gorbenko, Deputy Moscow mayor, and Gianni Merlo, the President of the International Sports Press Association (AIPS) addressed the delegates with the salutatory telegrams. Viktor Gusev, a famous sports commentator, read them out to an ovation.
