- In 1993, he founded the Delo Group of Companies, one of the largest holdings in the transportation services market, and headed it until 1999
- From 1999 to 2012 – Deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation (III-V sessions)
- In July 2014, he became the president of the Delo Group of Companies, currently he is the chairman of the Board of Directors of the Group
- From 2010 to 2013 – chairman of the Committee for grassroots soccer and soccer development programs of the Football Union of Russia. Founder and trustee of the School of Brazilian Football in Russia
- In April 2015, he was elected the president of the Handball Federation of Russia (HFR)
