  • A solemn signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Russian Olympic Committee and NOC Spain took place today in Marbella as part of the EOC General Assembly.

    The document was signed by ROC President Stanislav Pozdnyakov and his Spanish colleague Alejandro Blanco.

    The agreement will contribute to the development of friendly relations in the field of sports and mutual understanding between both countries.

    In addition, cooperation at the level of NOCs implies mutual support in matters of anti-doping, Olympic education, training of coaches, the joint holding of training sessions, participation in scientific and practical seminars, conferences, congresses and other events aimed at promoting Olympic values.

    On June 3rd, Vyborg hosted the opening of the IX World Games of Young Compatriots and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states. The large-scale competitions will feature around 450 athletes aged 14-18 from 35 countries.
