  • The President of ROC commented on the situation surrounding the Russian national biathlon team accused of anti-doping violations by the Austrian police.

    Stanislav Pozdnyakov:

″We are in constant contact with the leadership of RBU. Of course, the situation raises very serious concerns. On its part, ROC is ready to provide any assistance to the Russian Biathlon Union within our competence. We are now examining all the aspects of this case, we have prepared a number of official inquiries to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and to the National Olympic Committee of Austria. We are holding consultations with colleagues and our legal service is actively working. It’s still too early to assess what happened, many questions remain unanswered.″
