The Secretary General of the ROC noted that the Memorandum on Cooperation between the National Olympic Committees of both countries laid the foundation for the progressive development of sports relations between Russia and Bahrain. For example, last September athletes from Bahrain took part in the 2nd International Extreme Sports Festival “Grand Skate Tour” in Moscow.

Rodion Plitukhin stressed that joint training events and competitions in team sports, equestrian sports, various types of martial arts and other disciplines that are popular in Russia and Bahrain could become a regular and beneficial practice for both sides.

The Secretary General of the ROC invited the delegation of NOC Bahrain to take part in the 8th Summer International Sports Games “Children of Asia” and in the International Forum of Young Olympians, which will be held in June 2024 in Yakutsk.

Faris Al-Kooheji noted that cooperation with such a powerful sports power like Russia has allowed Bahrain to actively develop sport and has contributed to the professional growth of athletes at all levels. At the end of the meeting, both sides agreed to organize a face-to-face meeting in the foreseeable future.
