The parties also considered the issues of transferring bilateral cooperation to a wider format, including joint educational and cultural events. Rodion Plitukhin noted that within the framework of the current Memorandum of Cooperation, various training events and competitions are held on a regular basis with the participation of Russian and Tajik athletes in disciplines such as judo, karate, archery and canoe slalom.

For instance, from April 20 to April 24, 2023, Dushanbe hosted international competitions organized by the Russian Canoe Slalom Federation with organizational and financial support from the ROC.

The Secretary General of the ROC noted the invitation of the delegation of NOC Tajikistan to the 8th Summer International Sports Games “Children of Asia” and the International Forum of Young Olympians. Both events will take place next summer in Yakutsk.

In turn, Muhamadsho Abdullozoda spoke about the preparation of Tajik athletes for the Asian Summer Games in Hangzhou (China) and thanked the Russian Olympic Committee for participating in projects aimed at developing sports and the Olympic movement in Tajikistan.

The participants of the meeting reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening integration ties between Russia and Tajikistan, not only in the field of sport, but also in the humanitarian sphere in general.
