Today, the Executive Committee of the European Fencing Confederation received an official letter from the Ethics Commission of the International Fencing Federation, which considered the issues related to combining the positions of the President of the ROC and the President of the EFC. The Commission’s conclusion was that such a combination is permissible, does not imply any conflict of interest, and does not violate any rules or regulations.
In this regard, Stanislav Pozdnyakov, recently elected the new head of the Russian Olympic Committee, can continue his activities as the head of the European Fencing Confederation.
