  • Rector of the RIOU, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Education Professor Lev Belousov, said that according to the authoritative international industry ranking of educational sports management programs (Postgraduate Sports Course Rankings), which is compiled by the influential British magazine SportBusiness International.

    – This year we have managed to keep our positions, losing only to the FIFA Master program, which has long-term tradition, being implemented on the basis of the Swiss University of Neuchatel, the British University De Monfort and the Bocconi School of Management (Italy). This achievement of the RIOU is all the more valuable because it was achieved in the conditions of tough competition with the leading foreign universities that have been working in the market of sports education for a long time.

Over the five, we have trained representatives of almost all Russian regions, including employees of the ROC and sports federations, regional sports Ministers, outstanding athletes, winners and medalists of the Olympic Games, World and European Championships, more than 130 honored masters of sports and masters of sports of international class. Among the graduates of the RIOU are representatives of 50 countries with which we maintain close contacts.

The rating confirms that the strategy of the RIOU is correct and inspire optimism to all those who support our research and educational programs.

One of the most significant projects of the RIOU of those recently implemented is the creation of a multimedia information and education center (Museum) of the Olympic Games, the opening of which is planned in the autumn of this year in Sochi, said Lev Belousov.
