
From 13 to 20 May, the coaches of all the Russian ski teams, from the junior to the main one, underwent advanced training courses at the Russian International Olympic University (RIOU) in Sochi as part of the ROC pilot educational programme.

On April 6 two sports holidays were celebrated in Moscow simultaneously – International Day of Sport for Development and Peace and World Table Tennis Day, established in 2015 at the initiative of the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF).

The table tennis personal-command championship of Russia has started in Moscow. From February 26 to March 3, athletes from 28 regions of the Russian Federation will determine the best players in individual and team ranks. The tournament will be one of the stages of selection for the World Cup, which will be held at the end of April in Budapest.

Representatives of the All-Russian Swimming Federation will take part in a pilot educational project of the Russian Olympic Committee and the Russian International Olympic University (RIOU), aimed at improving the skills of coaches and specialists of all-Russian sports federations.

As part of the working meeting held today between the President of ROC Stanislav Pozdnyakov and the head of RSF Denis Tikhomirov, it was announced that the cooperation agreement will be extended for four years.

Today ROC President continued a series of working meetings with the leaders of winter sports federations, which resulted in the four-year extension of cooperation agreements with the federations of Curling and Cross Country Skiing.

The general meeting of delegates of the All-Russian Association of Summer Olympic Sports (ARASOS) was held today in the Russian Olympic Committee, where elections of the new president and the Executive committee of the organization took place.

On February 9, the XIV European Youth Olympic Festival starts in Sarajevo. Athletes from 46 countries aged 14–18 will compete for medals in eight different types of sports, including snowboarding.
