To the participants, organizers and guests of the XXIX all-Russian Olympic Day!
On behalf of the public joint stock company Gazprom, I welcome the participants and guests of the XXIX All-Russian Olympic Day.
As one of the most socially responsible companies in the world, Gazprom has always supported sport development initiatives. The Gazprom for Children social program has been successfully implemented since 2013. Over the past period, more than 1,600 sports facilities have been built, where about 100,000 people practice sports.
In 2013 the Gazprom PJSC launched the Football for Friendship international children’s social project. Within the period of five years more than 4 thousand young football players from 211 countries and regions took part in the program. The total number of supporters of the project reached 3 million.
This year, sports events are held in a special festive atmosphere. The whole world is following the events of the FIFA world Cup 2018, which is hosted by our country for the first time in history.
In Russia people really love sports! Discipline, hard work, perseverance and other important qualities, formed by physical culture and sports, help them overcome hardships in life, as evidenced by many success stories of Russian athletes.
Soon, the capital of the Argentine Republic will host the summer youth Olympic games in 2018, where the strongest Junior teams will meet to show the world their capabilities and talents.
On the eve of such a significant event, the participants and guests of the XXIX All-Russian Olympic Day gathered to support our young athletes and give them the baton for new victories!
I am convinced that such initiatives of the Russian Olympic Committee as the All-Russian Olympic Day carry out an important mission. They support children’s and youth sports, serve to promote the values of a healthy, active lifestyle among young people. But the main thing is that they give participants the joy of friendly communication and vivid impressions.
