    FAMILY

    Born into a family of doctors.  Father Vladimir Degtyarev, an obstetrician-gynecologist and Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation. Mother Svetlana Degtyarevа, a gastroenterologist. Mr. Degtyarev is married with four sons.

    EDUCATION

    1998: Samara International Aerospace Lyceum

    2005: Samara State Aerospace University named after academician Sergey Korolev (Engineer)

    2012: Institute of World Civilizations (Lawyer)

    2020: Higher School of Public Administration at the Presidential Academy (School of Governors)

    2024: Master’s degree from the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia (Master of International Relations)

    2004–2007: Member of the Samara City Council (the 4th convocation), engineer at Samara State Aerospace University, Department “Automatic Systems of Power Plants”

    2011–2016: Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Science and High Technology

    2016–2020: Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Physical Culture, Sports, Tourism, and Youth Affairs
