At the initiative of Mikhail Vladimirovich Degtyarev, President of the Olympic Committee of Russia and Minister of Sport of Russia, the project “A Great Country – A Sporting Country” has been launched.
As part of this initiative, a multi-format educational project titled “The Olympic Alphabet” is planned. Its goal is to introduce children to Olympic sports, share interesting facts and key features of each discipline, and highlight outstanding Russian Olympic athletes.
The project is designed for children aged 5 to 16.
As part of the project, a comprehensive ecosystem will be created, including the following key components:
- The book “Olympic Alphabet” — featuring structured information about Olympic sports, outstanding athletes, the historical development of the Olympic movement, and its fundamental values, as well as original illustrations of Olympic sports. Educational sessions based on the “Olympic Alphabet” are planned in more than 50 regions of the Russian Federation.
- The publication “Workbook for the Olympic Alphabet” — designed for primary school children. The workbook will include illustrations and interactive tasks promoting sport and a healthy lifestyle.
- Souvenir products, including board games, puzzles, and sticker packs related to the Olympic Games and Olympic sports.
- An animated series that conveys the spirit of Olympism and its core values.
- The development of graphic materials for social media, based on the “Olympic Alphabet” and the “Workbook for the Olympic Alphabet,” for publication on the social media platforms of the Olympic Committee of Russia and its partner organizations.
