This will be the second meeting of the commissions this year. The first one took place on June 6 on Belarusian soil, in the city of Postavy, where the Olympic festival "Vytoki" was held.
Another opportunity to "check the clock" and make plans for the future will be presented on November 5 on the banks of the Volga River. A joint meeting of the ROC and NOC Athletes' Commissions will be one of the key business events of the Russia – Sports Power Forum. Viktor Berezov and Ksenia Sankovich, General Secretaries of the National Olympic Committees of the two countries, were invited as guests of honor.
In addition, representatives of the ROC COP will be actively involved in the extensive program of the Samara forum. In particular, Vladlena Bobrovnikova, the new chairman of the commission, together with Anastasia Fesikova and Polina Knoroz, will speak on November 5 as speakers at the session "Sports Education. How sports are involved in personality formation."
Among the events of the Forum, our athletes are particularly interested in the session "Preparing Leaders: from medals to Sports Management", prepared by the Russian International Olympic University (RIOU). Education and social adaptation of Olympians to new realities after completing their sports career are one of the key areas of work of the ROC Athletes' Commission.
